Beautiful image and quote regarding the wonder of little children and from whence they came.
My heart is always full of wonder and awe when it comes to such tiny, little babies. My great-nephew Austin (shown in the picture above) is no exception. Coming into this world a month earlier than expected and weighing a whole 4 pounds, he is perfect in every way.
As I hold this sweet infant in my arms, it is easy to wonder about the place he just came from. Wondering answers to questions such as…Who said goodbye to him before he came to earth? Were relatives there to bid him farewell? Did Heavenly Father kiss him on the cheek and hug him with a father’s embrace whispering in his ear words of encouragement, advice or comfort? Was Jesus standing by waiting for His turn to embrace him as well? What loving words did our Savior say to this perfect little being now laying in my arms?
As we raise these beautiful angels sent to us from heaven, let us remember the words of Gordon B. Hinckley:
“Behold your little ones, and see within them the wonders of God, from whose presence they have recently come.”
May we always love them and teach them the way that they should go.
