A reading schedule for each month of 2021. It goes along with the Come, Follow Me Doctrine and Covenants reading assignments. The reading schedule includes additional reading such as Saints – Volume 1 or Revelations in Context, select Book of Mormon chapters, and a reminder to read a Conference Talk.
In my home, we have a bulletin board hanging up where everyone can see it that includes a personal Come, Follow Me reading schedule. It also includes that week’s picture from the Come Follow Me manual. (I tear out the pictures from the manual.) My children like having a reading schedule to look at that has the scripture passages divided up. I made my own this year and wanted to share it with you.
On the reading schedule, I have divided up the D&C scripture passages into 4 days. I then have listed “Additional Reading” that you can add into your week as you see fit.
The additional reading includes:
1. Saints, Volume 1 reading that is suggested in the Come, Follow Me manual. When there is no Saints suggested reading, I have included a Revelations in Context suggested reading. (For Saints, the first number given is the chapter and the second set of numbers is the page numbers.)
2. Selected chapters from the Book of Mormon because we have been taught the importance of continually studying the Book of Mormon.
3. “Conference Talk” as a reminder to study the words from modern-day prophets. As you know, in my Daily Study Guides I always include suggested conference talks to read that go along with principles taught that week. You could study one of those OR you could also pick a certain prophet or apostle and read a talk from them each week OR read a talk from the most recent conference session.
I hope that you find this reading schedule helpful as you prayerfully choose a reading schedule that works best for you.
*Feel free to share the reading schedules with your family and friends or on your ward’s Facebook page. I just ask that you do give credit to Melanie’s Library and share a link to this post or any post on my blog. Thanks!

January 1, 2021 6:25 pmWhere do I find the conference talks to read? I printed out the January schedule and it doesn’t give specifics.

January 1, 2021 9:48 pmI put “Conference Talk” with no specifics as more of a reminder or suggestion to study one. I was leaving it open for your choosing. If you follow my daily study guide that I post each week, for almost every day under “Additional Resources” I list a conference talk that goes along with the principle taught that day. Any one of those would be great to study. You could also pick a conference talk each week from the most recent General Conference or sometimes I have even picked a certain prophet or an apostle and each week study a talk by them. You could even study one by topic. There’s so many different ways, that’s why I left it open. I hope these suggestions are helpful.
