To All Mothers Who Struggle – And All Will

Being a Mom is NOT the easiest job in the world! Yet I wouldn’t trade it for the world 😉

Often times as Moms we have moments in our lives where we feel that we are not good enough. Perhaps we’ve just had one-too-many bad Mom days to count or we’re unsure if we’ll ever master the patience needed with a certain child. 

There are two things that have helped me get through those bad Mom days where I have felt inadequate and not worthy of the divine calling that I’ve been given, and one of those things is Elder Holland. He gave a wonderful talk called “Behold Thy Mother”. When I first heard the talk I remember being touched, and even now whenever I listen to it again, I’m always reaching for my box of tissues.

Elder Holland ends his talk with what I consider to be one of my favorite quotes:

The MOM Song Guaranteed to Make You Laugh

The second thing that has helped me get through one of those I’m-not-good-enough Mom days is laughter. If I have learned anything from the last 24 years of being a Mom, it is to lighten up and learn to laugh. Laugh during the good times and most importantly during the bad. Laughter is the medicine that makes things seem ok again. Laughter can lift our spirits and give us a new, more positive perspective. Life never seems quite as bleak after a good laugh.   

Below is a Mom song that is sure to put a smile on your face. It is my favorite Mom song that always makes me laugh.

Always remember that you are doing better than you think you are, and never underestimate the power of laughter 🙂
