This has always been one of my favorite videos that explains why we have commandments. They are to keep us safe. I love the quote from Pres. Monson at the end that says:

the great test of this life is obedience, thomas s monson, video

That quote really struck a chord with me. It got me thinking…If my test ended today, what kind of grade would I get? Have I been studying the scriptures and words of our latter-day prophets to know the answers, to know what I need to do to obey? Do I have the desire to want to obey, the desire to get a good grade?

None of us are perfect and won’t be until after this life, but that doesn’t change the desires of our hearts today. I feel that if we have that mighty change of heart and no more disposition to do evil, then we will pass the test. As long as we are continuously studying for the test and do our best to apply what we have learned, we will pass the test with flying colors.
